The best surprise ever!

Okay. So it is Friday night and I just got done with work at 6. :) There is a ward game night that me and Jocelyn go to and Jocelyn said she had to be home by 7:25 so I was like sweet. It was hot and I wasn't in a game mood. We are at home and Jocelyn tells me she was going to check the mail. She brought in a box and said it was for me. (Caleb had these bracelets for me and had told me he was sending them to me so I was expecting something) In the letter with the package he wrote that there was a bigger present for me outside my dorm in the parking lot or where ever Jocelyn put it. Okay so I walk out side and see this box as you see in the video. Then when he was walking towards me he scared me if you noticed haha. And first thing I do is slap him oops. I am weird. Anyways, how amazing is he!? So cute. We walked around campus, went to the creamery and went to the mall. He took me to My Sister's Keeper which he was sooo excited to see. :) I cried. It is amazing though everyone go see it! We were really tempted to run up to the Y but we ran out of time..NOT.

So basically it was such an amazing weekend and thanks Kaitlin and Jocelyn for helping him out! :)

4th of July!

Surprise Jeff Chatman paid for me and Jocelyn to fly to their house for the 4th of July weekend! It was so nice of him. He didn't tell Leah or anyone else in their family. I also didn't tell anyone in my family. So it was a surprise to all! I had so much fun. Everyone who came to my graduation and Claire's baptism knows that it is impossible to be friends with Janessa. Everyone tried, no one succeeded. Well, surprise! Me and her were friends this weekend! We played hide and go seek, we took pictures together, I sat by her in the car, I carried her places! And it gets better...she would always say "Joslin Farmer, you gonna sit by me?" She is probably the cutest thing in the world, so of course I had to take millions of pictures of her and videos. By the way I don't know how to move the video the other way so sorry! These are of Janessa and her singing. So great. :)

We drove up to their friend's house and went to the beach while we were up there. This is our packing job. :)

Yay for the jetski!

This was the drive up and Janessa was listening to music. I mean seriously? She is so so cute!
Now for the fireworks. We did some when it wasn't dark outside just because we didn't think we would be up for it later on. We went to the school to watch fireworks and that was awesome. Jordan and the friend Ethan were in charge of the ones before the school, that was a mistake. We nearly died. Haha just kidding but they were kind of crazy. Everyone who knows Jordan knows that he is pretty tough (or thinks he is hahaha jk Jordan you are :) ). Well this is proof that he isn't as tough as he always says...HAHAHA. So these fireworks were so dang loud and it freaked us all out. And Jordan running away like that makes me laugh. The one before this he ran and then dove to the ground as if there was a bomb. It was so funny but I only got a picture of him being on the ground dang it.

I totally did a sparkler! For those who know me well know that I don't like fire and such. But I got brave haha. It was fun and worth it. Hehe.

These are just random pictures of the cute kids. :)

The famous Jace face. :)This is proof of our friendship. HAHAHAHA jealous!? You should be! (Yes Kaitlin i'm talking to you hehe.)

My final room!

I ordered a lot of pictures and finally finished decorating my room! This is the master piece. :)

Us and our cooking

These guys in our ward invited our dorm over to their house for dinner. I offered to bring dessert and they said that would be great. Well, by the time we got home from church no one wanted to cook. I had a huge box of rice krispies that i decided we could use. About the rice krispies I barely even like them but good old Hannah put them in the cart when we were grocery shopping. I formed this plate and was pretty excited about it. We told the guys we slaved over the dessert and that it was a secret recipe. They never guessed any different.

Updates on the oven!

Maintenance came over and cleaned our "new" oven. This is the process of them cleaning it. They said they had never seen an oven that dirty.

They did so good and got it this clean! Yay go them!

I came home one day and decided we would test out the new oven with the ultimate test...the bagel bites! I turned it on and nothing happened. I was super annoyed because I was hungry. We called maintenance and they came over. I guess it just wasn't plugged in so they had to move the oven out and then plug it in. I think this is just the plug in for the like oven plug? But we were laughing pretty hard and we were like this really is ancient because it was so big.

They went through the whole process of cleaning that oven and then they brought our old one back! The one that caught on fire. They say that we won't die so hopefully we are safe. Today I made my bagel bites and I was so happy! They were amazing!

P.S. We were totally in the newspaper in the police beat! Haha oh yay baby.

All I wanted was to eat my Bagel Bites...

I came home from weights at 3 and hadn't eaten since breakfast at 9 that morning. I was very hungry and decided to eat some bagel bites. I preheated the oven to 450 and then went to my room while it preheated. I came back out and the oven looked like it had lights on. I asked Jocelyn if someone else had opened it and she said no. We looked inside and there were sparks in the oven. The coil that turns red with heat was sparking in this certain spot. We didn't think that was normal. We turned off the oven and the sparking stayed. Me and my roommate Brittany kept thinking about calling maintenance but we never really did. For some reason we weren't freaking out like we should have been. I went to my room and called maintenance after a while. I was talking to her and telling her the situation and she was asking me questions. I heard a lot of noise coming from outside of my room so I went out there (while I was still talking to the maintenance girl). We had some guys over and I looked out and one of the guys was using a fire extinguisher and spraying it in the oven!

So, I tell the girl umm the spark is getting bigger and now we are using the fire extinguisher. She told me she would send someone over. At this point the stuff from the fire extinguisher was ALL over the kitchen and coming down the hallways. It is really hard to breathe with this stuff. I decided to get my camera and take some pictures. I got a few good ones and then the guys told us girls that we need to get out. So, everyone leaves my dorm. One of the guys calls 911 and next thing we know 2 fire trucks come and a cop car. P.S. the reason the guys used the fire extinguisher was because the spark was spreading to the back and one of the guys thought there was a gas light back there and that it could explode. And they had tried to put water on it and nothing changed.

As you can see, many people were interested in what was going on...

I got interviewed by a police man and he asked for all my information. I felt like an idiot since I turned the oven on.

The firemen did their stuff and then maintenance shows up (a little late).

Maintenance took our microwave and oven and they told us that when we used the fire extinguisher it ruined all the appliances.

This old guy, who was with maintenance, told us that the fire wouldn't have spread if we would have just left the oven closed. I told him we didn't know that. One of our hometeachers told him that anyone who would have seen that in their oven would have used a fire extinguisher. The old guy started to say something but then stopped mid sentence and rolled his eyes and left. As he was leaving I told him we didn't know so it was better to be safe than sorry. Okay, that was super annoying. Did he want the whole building to burn down? And maybe if the oven wouldn't have done that in the first place we wouldn't have had to use the fire extinguisher. And maybe if maintence would have gotten over there sooner. We had to call them twice. Rude old man. :) So, we were annoyed about that but whatever we did the right thing. Of course we had to get a picture in front of the truck.

We were talking afterward with the guys who saved us and our hometeachers. We were still talking about how maintenance was all mad at us and we were saying how it was kind of cool that we get new appliances. The guys were saying it would be funny if we got really old and crappy ones since we made them mad. We laughed about it, not realizing that that was going to happen. We come home and our microwave is totally lopsided. And the oven is THE OLDEST oven I have ever seen. Like it was so funny we were laughing because of what the guys had said! But we decided its not a big deal the oven should still work fine. Then we saw that it was so filthy and there was old food in it!

The lady in charge of our building came over and saw it and she was like that is ridiculous. She asked me to send her some pictures and she is going to complain to maintence and have them take care of our oven. Atleast clean it!

My cupboard full of food was right next to the dishwasher (to the left of the oven). Well, apparently stuff from the fire extinguisher got in there. I hope I don't die haha.
