Early but worth it

This morning at 6 our ward went to the temple. Today is the one day I can sleep in a lot because I don't have class until 12. Well, I decided to go to the temple with the ward and it was so amazing! It is just so peaceful in there and beautiful. I am so glad I went!

Friday night we decided to watch a chick flick and all sleep in the kitchen! We could only fit 5 mattresses in the kitchen but it worked out great! It was so fun!

Okay so Kade is the cutest kid ever. I called my mom and was chatting with her and she let me know that Kade was making cookies with Alek. I asked her if Kade even remembered who I was. I have only talked to him like once since I have been gone. That is a sad story. So she says, "Kade, who is missing from this family?" Kade said Joslin and Kaitlin. She then said, "Kade, what does Joslin look like?" And he said, "I don't know that I know." Haha how adorable. So I talked to him on the phone and he said that when we go to McCall he is going to push me off the dock and I am going to push him off. After a few minutes of our small talk he said, "I am going to tell mom to put this on speaker so I don't have to do this." Haha he didn't like holding the phone and decided that speaker was easier.

Seriously. I miss this kid.

Wonderful treat!

Friday was Pioneer Day so there was no school! Me and Jocelyn were the only ones home and we didn't have much to do. I painted my nails which was such a good idea. I decided to go get the mail and good thing I did! There was a big box for me from my friend Kara! I was so excited. :) The individual presents were wrapped with Christmas paper which of course made me happy. Who wouldn't love that? Then the box was full of tissue paper that was so colorful!

The box had things that she knew I loved or wanted in it. It was so cute!

Another exciting thing is that Kara, Laura and Lindsey are coming the weekend of the 8th! I can't wait to see them!

Well, I was just going to add a few pictures but I decided these are all sooo cool. Monica is AMAZING!

Bonfire

Saturday night we made some new friends. We went to their house and played guitar hero and talked and then decided to have a bonfire. We were going to goto the Fray concert but our friend Landon let us know he had friends that were on the football team and we could hang out with them. We decided that was cheaper and would be nice. :) Well, 2 of the guys went up to "start the bonfire" while the rest of us bought stuff for the bonfire (like for smores and such). We drove up to the canyon and were walking around looking for those 2 guys. We found them as soon as they shot fire works at us! Roman candles were coming at us from ALL directions! We were freaking out. The fire quickly got out of control and we were pretty sure it wasn't good. The grass around it started catching on fire. Well, one of the guys started booking it and brought a trash can over. They were going to fill up the trash can with water from the river but found a hose instead and sprayed it on the fire. It went down some.



This is one of the guys that decided to jump over the fire! We were a little nervous for him but it was pretty sweet.



The guys pulled branches from the trees around us for our roasting sticks. It was so funny because they had to be freakishly long since the fire was so dang hot. So everyone was like way far away from the fire when they were roasting their stuff. The guys would throw roman candles into the fire while we were around it so they would be shooting all directions and into the trees and such. Probably not the best thing ever!

Shaving party!

These guys invited us to go swimming with them and we realized we all needed to shave. So we fit 4 girls into the bathtub/shower and it was so squished but fun. We were like splashing water on our legs so that they'd get wet because there wasn't room for everyone to stand in the shower. It was funny because they guys were all waiting in the kitchen for us while we were frantically shaving and getting dressed.

So...I am going to see Kaitlin in like 4 weeks. I mean, that is so exciting! I love her and can't wait to see her! And I'm so so so excited to live close to her for Fall! It is going to be so so so amazing! We will party every day! Yay!

We didn't die but it came close...

It was like 11 at night and me and Jocelyn decided to go on a walk to the bell tower. It was dark outside but we were together so we were safe. Well, we walked into this tunnel and I was getting nervous. Jocelyn started to yell (to hear it echo) and I told her someone could be close to us so we should be quiet because we could get killed. Then she mentions that she has a pocket knife with her so we are safe. That freaked me out! Why would she bring a pocket knife!? We linked arms the rest of the way and we were so scared. Haha but we made it back alive.

Funny Story

Me and Jocelyn were walking to tennis practice. A guy from our dance class called us over but told us to be quiet. Well, we were confused and went over to him. There was a deer! Just hanging out and it was so close to us. I tried to get pictures but these were with my phone so not too good. It was so awesome. Yes, we were late to tennis and yes our coach made fun of us for the reasoning. But so worth it.

The best meal EVER!

Me and Jocelyn were let out of effective study like an hour early! We were very excited about it (the teacher is crazy). We went to Score Grill I think it was called and got the best meal ever. Like look at these tatter tots? So I of course had to take pictures of the wonderful meal. :)

I started the 4th of July post on the 8th and just now finished it....So it is down there so check it out. :)

Maintenance loves us

We came home and this was what Marissa and Brittany's light looked like in their room. It just makes us laugh when stuff like that happens because we have had to call maintenance so many times. Like today I called them because our bathroom sink faucet just came right off. Anyway, we called these guys and they fixed it for us but I had to get a picture. :)

Amazing buy...

I totally finished my journal last night and so I bought a new one today. It was such an exciting thing for me. For one, it was 7.99 on sale and then i got 20% off of that since i work on campus...or maybe it was 10%. Point of the story is it was cheap! And I was able to use my signature card which I wasn't aware of....so it wasn't like really money. :) (I know it is my money but its not like cash from my wallet)

Look how beautiful and big it is! I am so so so excited to write in it. Ah.
