sometimes i get really behind in my blog (like now) and just want to give up.
lets start off by saying sometimes bad things happen and it seems like everything is against you. like when you come home from christmas break and your suit case full of your favorite clothes, shoes, and other miscellaneous things (including your new christmas everything you haven't worn) gets stolen. or when your water stops working in your apartment because the pipes froze and your landlord won't do anything. OR when you drop your phone in the gutter full of ice chunks and filthy cold water.
BUT then good things happen. we have had WAY TOO MANY NICE PEOPLE help us out with gift cards and money to buy new clothes. it was the nicest thing ever and i am in complete shock. my mom got right on the pipes situation and we got byu housing involved and that got taken care of fast. AND then just when i was about to leave my phone i reached in again and found it. say whaattt. real.
lessons learned from these experiences: don't save things for the "perfect" time to use them because you might just lose them. i am WEIRD with my clothes, i'm aware. some of the things i lost i was saving for the perfect day to wear. for example this AMAZING dress to wear over leggings. can you say perfect outfit?
ya well i got it for my birthday and never wore it because i was saving it. baha that backfired when it got taken! or the hair products i saved to use when i REALLY needed them, and now they are gone. so this has turned into an inspirational talk. use your stuff yo!
thats all. point of the story is i just can't believe how nice people are. thanks everyone for helping out! it really means a lot!
i love this quote from President Hinckley:
“Be believing, be happy, don't get discouraged. Things will work out."
sometimes life is really hard and you just need to remember heavenly father is there for us and everything does work out eventually.
