trip home!

me and kait went home a few weekends ago for emma and hannah's state tennis!  it was great to be home! we of course had to surprise our family because that never gets old. :)  they thought we left after kait got off work at 5, but instead we left at 3. OH YA! we surprised everyone, pulled in with the lights off and all!  state tennis is usually BOILING so i dressed accordingly. well awesome, it was windy and cold!  the first day was freezing at the beginning!

 yes, my mom was really that freezing haha. of course my dad is just walking around in shorts and a short sleeve shirt, crazy!

our evening was filled with some intense four square.

nothing is better than this picture. dad is discussing what will take place in the next matches for han and em.  who they will play, how good they are, what will happen. also gpa and dads hat. too good!

han and em played AWESOME. how are they so good at tennis?! i loved watching them play! han got 2nd at state and em got 4th! they are soooooo cooooolll! the fruitland girls also were tennis and academic state champions! woot!

we did some shopping, which of course is my dad's favorite as shown by this picture.

everyone slept when we got home after being in the sun all day so i played some card games with the kids!

 

it was great to be home, even just for the weekend! american idol clips show to us by han, vampire diaries with han (IT WAS CRAZY), milkshakes, games, relaxing in the sun, keep away, 500, soccer and home cooked meals. i miss it already!

oh you know...

-work was busy for mother's day. who knew? i worked extra hours and loved it. i LOVE when its busy and all the girls i work with are around. they are all so funny and great. one funny event from the day: saturday we worked 8:30 to 5:30.  someone calls in and kelsey answers.  we hear her say, "no we actually don't have any cotton candy here, sorry."  she then proceeds to put him on hold and is dying laughing. the guy was looking at our cotton candy arrangement on our website and wanted that. TOO FUNNY! seriously it was hilarious.
-i gave my first talk in church since my senior year of high school! that was intense. keri helped me lot with my talk. thanks keri.  it was pretty stressful but i think it went okay? i looked up hahaha so that is an accomplishment for me. it was about mothers day so i could handle that. bragging about my mom is easy peesy because she is da best. :)
-keri and i have been going to the pool or our backyard to lay out these past few days and its been THE BEST. i have been reading the 4th harry potter and man is that a good one. what is better than the sun? NOTHING. i love it.
-here is a picture of our fridge. as you can see we haven't been able to let katie and cj go. :) her name is still on the fridge, their picture, a post card from them from hawaii, and a note she wrote to us on the far right. what can we say we just really like them? pretty funny when me and kait noticed all this haha.

-keri and kait have been coming with me to volunteer at an assisted living facility every sunday.  we work in the rehabilitation unit and so the residents have dementia and alzheimers.  it is sad but also the best part of my week. they are all so sweet and funny. I LOVE IT SO MUCH. story from one day:  person in charge says helen can you pray for us? helen yells, "that's the worst question you could ever ask me!" too good.
-i'm going home tomorrow. YAY! han and em are going to state for tennis. woot! i'm sure excited.

me, kait and erin went to this free concert in provo. PETER BREINHOLT CAME. of course we went. we grew up listening to his music and it was sooo great! also it was a beautiful summer night!

it was a good one!

close sisters...when it comes to tv shows

me and han talk probably two times a week? not once in those conversations do we hear about how the other is doing. it is mostly filled with us freaking out and or crying about our tv shows. real. these shows consist of the lying game, revenge and vampire diaries. (i watch modern family too but han doesn't). i have many messages and texts from han saying I NEED TO CALL HER NOW OR ELSE. we skyped recently about vampire diaries and seriously these pictures of han?

anyone who knows han has seen that first face multiple times. when it comes to liam hemsworth or other people this face comes out. sure do love this girl. she made me promise to wait and watch vampire diaries with her this weekend when i go home.  good thing i love her because i've been DYING to see it!

katie's wedding

i stole all of these pictures from fb because i didn't bring a camera. :) katie and cj are married, YAY! everything was perfect. the weather in st. george, the wedding dinner, the reception, the actual marriage. LOVED ALL OF IT. it was fun seeing how everything turned out since i saw/heard about most of the ideas beforehand. katie's family is also so nice and fun. it was a great weekend. happy marriage!

future roommates! katie's sister, rachel, is living with us starting fall semester. and then her friend Caitlin is coming too! we got to know them a lot more this trip and are stoked!

we drove down with kyle, tracy and kyle's brother, dane.  it was fun being with them, they are so much fun! tracy came to germany with us and is the coolest.

sure was a good one! glad they are back in provo now. :)
