Bike ride!

Well, the other day I went on a date.  And it is actually quite an embarrassing slash funny story.  We get to his apartment and he told me we were going for a bike ride.  I didn't think anything of it and started to get on my bike.  Then I realized I haven't ridden a bike since middle school.  And I might not remember how.  What is that saying...once you can ride a bike you always can. K that doesn't sound right but it's something like that.  FALSE.

I get on the bike and fall over.  He holds it for me and I peddle twice and then fall over.  I start panicking because this is the whole date and I can't ride the bike!  (In my defense the bike was really big for me.  Even when I wasn't on the seat and was in front of it I couldn't touch the ground.  Just saying).  I think I said a lot of embarrassing things like I don't get it how do you not fall over?  And how do I get off once I am going?  Also I said sorry about A MILLION times.  Me falling off at the beginning probably went on for 5 minutes.  No joke.  I finally was able to ride it.  Barely.  I was so wobbly and just couldn't ride straight.  Also, every time we got to a turn or had to cross the rode I didn't know what to do because I had to stop!  And that consisted of me diving to the side since I couldn't just get off the seat.  At first I couldn't even look anywhere but straight ahead let alone talk to the kid.  Once I was on the side walk feeling pretty good about my riding skills when I just went right into the grass next to us and couldn't get back on the side walk without jumping off the bike.  I sure couldn't control the thing.

Needless to say he didn't ask me out again.  I was really sore the next day too.  Embarrassing?  Maybe.  He probably thinks I'm this girly girl who can't ride a bike.  Which I might be.  Whoops.  Sorry to disappoint you dad. :)

It was an adventure that is for sure.  I should probably learn how to ride a bike.  Again.

  3. hahahhhah. BUTTT if it makes you feel any better you SHOULDNT have rode the bike that was too big. HE shouldnt have made you ride a bike that was too big. i can only ride kid bikes...not like baby biked but like teen sized bikes...if that makes sense. if you had a bike that was your size you would have been a lot better. if you are sitting on the set you should be able to touch the ground with atleast your tip toes.

ha, what a dumb boy for making you do that when he obviously saw you were falling a lot. but im sure you kept saying "no its fine"
